The interior is not open cell as it is lined with a stretch nylon fabric. The suit would otherwise be quite sticky on your skin and difficult to get in and out.
It is the outside where the open cell structure lies which is then protected by our proprietary Blacktec coating. The benefit of not having an outside lining is not only the amazing stretch but also the fact that it water pearls off and since the chill factor in waterski is the major factor to make the user feel cold it is drastically reduced with the Blacktec material.
This product is named Blacktec 2.0 but design "version" is 1.5
* This special neoprene is a delicate material that allows the suit to be warm and flexible. Handle with care and never grab with your fingernails/tips to pull the suit on (use your knuckles). Doing so could tear the suit. Only tears along the seams are considered manufactures defects.
Neoprene is 2mm.
